OTTAWA COUNTY, MI – In recorded jail calls, one of the two men involved in a road-rage crash that killed an innocent motorist threatened the prosecutor and sheriff’s detective handling the case.
Dennis Noel Perez, 43, said on calls that he wanted to strangle Jake Jenison, the Ottawa County chief assistant prosecutor, and that he hoped Jenison was listening to the call, the prosecutor said.
He said Detective Adam Hill was also threatened.
Jenison said it was further evidence that Perez did not take responsibility for Sha-Tera Coleman-Todd’s death.
Perez was sentenced Monday, Aug. 11, by Ottawa County Circuit Judge Karen Miedema to eight years, four months in prison.
