LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A man and woman were arrested Friday night following a large fight near downtown Lincoln.

Just after 6 p.m., officers with the Lincoln Police Department were sent to the area of 13th and E streets on the report of 15 people fighting.

Witnesses reported a male bleeding from the head and a woman carrying a broom.

When officers arrived, they found 27-year-old Leandra Wells holding a metal tube and 33-year-old Chance Cave with an injury to his scalp.

Witnesses said they saw Cave kicking another individual, and Wells hitting Cave with the metal tube.

Cave was taken to the hospital for his injuries, then arrested an lodged in the Lancaster County Jail on suspicion of third-degree assault.

Wells was arrested and lodged on suspicion of second-degree assault.
