BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - A FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY will remain in effect into Tuesday and dangerous heat and humidity will continue. An area of high pressure to our southeast along with an upper-level ridge will help to supply the toasty temperatures alongside the humidity.

Skies will remain mostly clear tonight. It will be warm and muggy as lows and dew points will stay in the 60s. Some areas of patchy fog will be possible.

A Heat Advisory will be in place for some inland counties Tuesday as heat index values will reach into the mid to upper 90s. It will be another day filled with lots of sunshine and highs that away from the coast will range from the upper 80s to the mid 90s. Coastal areas will range from the upper 70s to the mid 80s.
