THE Miami Dolphins have lost one of their running backs for the season.

Alexander Mattison will miss the 2025 campaign after undergoing neck surgery.

Mattison suffered a devastating injury during the Dolphins' first preseason game on Sunday.

He was tackled on a 21-yard pass play against the Chicago Bears and was taken to the hospital in an ambulance.

From there, Mattison was taken into surgery on Sunday night.

He is expected to make a full recovery.

Fans were devastated to hear how extreme Mattison's injury was, and shared their well wishes for him on social media.
