POMONA – The driver of a white Lexus sedan was killed on the Pomona (60) Freeway in Pomona Monday when a tire came off a truck and smashed through the car’s windshield.

The tragedy was reported at 2:26 a.m. on the eastbound Pomona Freeway at the Garey Avenue off-ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Video showed the smashed window and partial roof collapse of the white Lexus.
