Boston Legacy FC is continuing to stock up on talent from the Atlantic Coast Conference.
On Monday, the team announced the signing of its second University of North Carolina product in midfielder Raleigh Gambone.
In July, the club signed defender Emerson Elgin , who overlapped with Gambone at UNC in 2021 and 2022.
After starting seven games as a freshman for the Tar Heels in 2019, Gambone’s most productive season came when she was a sophomore. Appearing in 20 games, the midfielder tallied seven assists, including three in one match against Tennessee.
Although she never became a full-time starter at UNC, she still made another 44 appearances for the team over her final two seasons, and finished her career with nearly 3,000 minutes played.
