COLUMBIA, S.C. — A suspect accused of an assault and attempted kidnapping of a bicyclist in northeast Columbia is now facing charges of having child sexual material.
Timothy Ulness, 24, has been charged by the Richland County Sheriff's Department with third-degree criminal exploitation of a minor. Deputies said they arrested him Monday after they found sexually explicit images and video of children on his cell phone.
Ulness had been arrested last week for an incident which deputies say took place on August 2nd. According to investigators, around 6:30 a.m. Ulness' vehicle hit a woman who was riding a bicycle on Miles Road in northeast Columbia. Deputies said Ulness then turned the vehicle around and went back to where the woman was lying in the road.
