PARSHALL, N.D. (KMOT) - A group of energy experts from two major cities in Pakistan visited North Dakota to learn first-hand what energy production here in the U.S. is like.

So far, they’ve met with the state’s oil and gas division, visited North American Coal and on Monday, they toured the MHA Nation’s Native Green Grow project.

Sarah Kazmi, an energy lawyer from Pakistan, is one of eight visitors touring energy and sustainability sites across western North Dakota.

On Monday, the group visited the MHA Nation’s Native Green Grow project, a 141,000-square-foot greenhouse with the capacity to grow 1.8 million pounds of food year-round.

“I think I’m looking forward to learning from the Natives. It’s very important to learn from the history and how things have developed,” said Kazmi.
