BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - A $9 million settlement has been reached between a Baton Rouge man and a state trooper who shot the man during a traffic stop seven years ago, paralyzing him.

The settlement is one of the largest settlements in state history related to police brutality.

“That night changed my client’s life,” Don Cazayoux said.

Nineteen-year-old Clifton Scott Dilley was a passenger in a car whose driver made an illegal U-turn near Perkins Road and Siegen Lane in July 2018, catching the attention of Louisiana State Police Trooper Kasha Domingue.
