NEW YORK (WABC) -- There was an alarming outbreak of gun violence in New York City this weekend after a total of 10 people were shot in six separate shootings.
The shootings, which police say were unrelated, all happened early Saturday night into early Sunday morning.
Two of the victims died, including a 23-year-old man gunned down in Cypress Hills around 2:30 a.m. Sunday and a 45-year-old man shot around 9 p.m. Saturday in Sunset Park.
Overnight, police said they arrested a man from Florida in connection to the Sunset Park shooting. He was arrested on a charge of murder.
The other shootings include a triple shooting in the East Tremont section of the Bronx around 1 a.m. Sunday that left two women and a man wounded.
