Over the last week, the San Diego Mojo have joined a new league, hired a new coach and re-signed three of their key players.

Expect more news now that the league’s free-agency period is open.

Overseeing the moves is Alisha Glass Childress, who was named the club’s new coach on Saturday after spending her last two seasons as a setter for the now-shuttered Vegas Thrill of the Pro Volleyball Federation.

Childress won three NCAA championships while a player at Penn State, captured another title as an assistant at Stanford and has experience playing for and coaching with the U.S. Women’s National Team. She replaces Tayyiba Haneef-Park, who left the Mojo last month after coaching the club for the first two years of the team’s existence.
