Plans for 21 new homes have been submitted for approval at La Gibauderie in Guernsey .

Many businesses have used the space within St Peter Port over the years but Walter Property - who own the site - want to build a collection of two and three-bed houses.

The proposed site is currently unoccupied and houses mostly office accommodation, with some workshop and retail space.

The application says that "there are no requirements for affordable housing" and the plans are "expected to make the most efficient and effective use of land".

The application adds: "Every effort has been made to design a high-quality development to replace the existing.
