CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - Gas prices took a slight dip in the last week, with positive changes at the pump coming to not just South Carolina, but to the entire nation.
The average price for a gallon of gas in South Carolina dropped 2.2 cents this past week and now sits at $2.75.
That price is 3.8 cents lower than a month ago and 27.3 cents lower than a year ago.
The cheapest gallon of gas in the entire state over the weekend was $2.44 while the most expensive was $3.49.
As for the Lowcountry, the cheapest gas Monday morning was at the Charleston Exxon located at 2493 Savannah Highway, with each gallon going for $2.54.
