When Trey Stewart and Mawot Mag were given greater roles midway through the 2024-25 season, it marked a turning point for BYU, as the Cougars subsequently caught fire and reached the Sweet 16 for the third time in program history.
Now, the two valuable “3-and-D” specialists who helped save BYU’s season are headed overseas to begin their professional careers.
Stewart has signed with SBB Basketba Wolmirtedt in Germany, while Mag will join the Cairns Taipans in his native Australia, according to a Monday press release from BYU .
