TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) -- Body camera footage shows Tampa police officers entering a burning building and pulling a man to safety.

On Aug. 9, Tampa police and fire rescue crews were called to the 8400 block of N. Highlands Ave., where a home was partially engulfed in flames.

The video shows an officer arriving at the home and being told that a man was still inside. Officers entered the home, dropping to the ground and crawling to avoid the worst of the smoke.

They quickly found the man near the front door and pulled him to safety.

"Thanks to their brave and fast actions, a life was saved," Tampa police wrote in a social media post.

Everyone involved was treated for smoke inhalation, but was otherwise OK. The fire, which was determined to be accidental, was extinguished.
