BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. — The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office says a man has been arrested and is facing felony charges after deputies say he recorded himself fleeing law enforcement and posted the video on social media.

Corporal Carli Carr, public information officer for the sheriff’s office, identified the driver as 35-year-old Rashawn Scott. The incident began on Cooper Store Road in Moncks Corner, where deputies observed a vehicle tailgating another and failing to maintain its lane. When a deputy attempted a traffic stop, the driver fled.

Carr said stop sticks were deployed along South Live Oak Drive to disable the vehicle, bringing it to a stop in the median. Deputies later discovered about 56.5 grams of marijuana inside the vehicle.
