CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) - Some of the Dockside Condominiums townhome owners appeared in court as they fight the City of Charleston to move back into their homes.

The owners are looking for a preliminary injunction, which would allow to residents to go back into their homes, as the case continues. It comes as the Dockside condos were deemed structurally unsound back in February, causing the city building officer to order an evacuation.

The plaintiff's attorney, who represents the townhome owners, said that the residents were not offered due process and their constitutional rights were violated when they were kicked out. They claimed the city did not have the proper authority or follow proper procedures to vacate them.
