CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A Charlotte woman sent families running Saturday afternoon when she fired a gun in the air at an annual back-to-school health fair, according to court documents.

Police arrested Cherez Davis, 34, at the C.W. Williams Community Health Center in west Charlotte after she pulled a gun and fired two shots to try and break up a fight involving her son, an affidavit shows.

Nobody was hurt in the incident.

“I was really kind of shaken up, I’m sure a lot of people were,” said Laura Newell, who was a vendor at the event. “It was a lot of commotion, we heard screaming, we heard people running. It was pretty chaotic, pretty crazy.”
