SEATTLE — The Seattle Kraken and defenseman Ryker Evans have agreed to a two-year contract, securing Evans through the 2026-2027 season.

Seattle Kraken General Manager Jason Botterill announced the $4.1 million contract ($2.05 million AAV) on Monday afternoon.

"Ryker took a positive step forward in his first full season in the NHL," Botterill said in a press release. "Since turning pro, he's shown improvement year over year, and we're confident he'll take his game to another level next season. We're happy to have him under contract."

The 6-foot, 195-pound defenseman recorded 25 points in 73 regular season games last season. Evans ranked third overall in both hits (123) and in blocked shots (106).

The 23-year-old was the last unsigned player on the roster.
