BANGOR -- According to Maine State Police, on the evening of August 9th, the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office responded to a local business in Milford.
The sheriff’s found a child dead inside a vehicle owned by the child’s mother, Kelly Brown.
Kelly Brown appeared at the Penobscot County Court after being charged with manslaughter.
Due to the offense, she could not plead at this time, and the case will have to be presented to a grand jury.
The state argued $100,000 bail, along with a no contact order with children under the age of 18.
Brown’s defense argued $30,000 bail.
The judge posted secured bail of $50,000, along with the no direct contact order with children under the age of 18.
