Portuguese soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo has finally popped the big question.
The Manchester United legend scored the goal of a lifetime after proposing to his longtime partner Georgina Rodriguez, who confirmed their engagement while showing off a massive ring in an Instagram post Monday, Aug 11.
"Yes, I do. In this and in all my lives," Rodriguez wrote in a translated caption with a photo of her hand over Ronaldo's while donning the spectacle oval jewel.
Fans of Netflix reality series "I am Georgina" know Rodriguez has long awaited the overdue proposal, prompting many fans to ponder whether the milestone would come.
The newly engaged couple's next chapter comes after a nearly decade-long relationship. The couple confirmed their romance on Instagram in May 2017, following their first public appearance at the Best FIFA Football Awards in Zurich earlier that year.
Who is Georgina Rodriguez?
Rodriguez, 31, is an Argentine-Spanish model, entrepreneur, social media influencer, and now, the fiancée of Cristiano Ronaldo.
She is also the star of the reality series "I am Georgina," which, over three seasons, captures the personal and professional life of the famous mother and businesswoman.
With Ronaldo, she shares daughters Bella, 3, and Alana, 7. Rodriguez is also the stepmother of Ronaldo's twin children, Eva Maria and Mateo, both 8, and 15-year-old son Cristiano Jr.
In April 2022, the couple revealed that Bella's twin newborn brother tragically died, writing in a joint Instagram post that they experienced "the greatest pain any parent can feel."
