DC Police Union Chairman Greggory Pemberton laid the blame for the crime in Washington, D.C. , on the “radical activists” on the city council.

President Donald Trump announced Monday he would be deploying the National Guard to the capital to assist law enforcement in combating crime. These guardsmen will remain in D.C. for at least 30 days.

Pemberton appeared on Fox News’s America Reports Monday to “completely agree with the president that the crime in the District of Columbia is out of control and something needs to be done.” However, when it came to the source of the problem, which Trump claimed was a transition to a no-cash bail system, Pemberton disagreed.
