Coronation Street's George's new love interest made her debut recently and fans instantly recognised her

Coronation Street fans have been left scratching their heads after recognising George Shuttleworth’s new love interest. ‌

George (Tony Maudsley) has had a difficult time recently on the ITV soap. In June, he split with Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver), when Eileen left the cobbles after 25 years . ‌

The pair first struck up a romance a few years back and eventually moved in together. This year though, their relationship fizzled out, following the sad death of Eileen’s sister Julie (Katy Cavanagh). ‌
