Multiple body parts have been found in the Tualatin River and authorities don’t know who they belonged to.

Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to Hillsboro’s Rood Bridge Park around 5:10 p.m. Friday after a kayaker said they had found a body part, the sheriff’s office said Monday.

Searchers found another body part in the river the next day. The sheriff’s office declined to say what body parts were discovered but is investigating the matter as a death.

“Searchers are continuing their efforts as additional information is discovered‚” the sheriff’s office said.
