Police have launched an investigation after an "unprovoked assault" on a carer at a city centre railway station.
At around 6.20pm on Saturday evening, June 28, it was reported to police that a man who was caring for another man in a wheelchair was punched in the face and threatened by two women at Liverpool Central Station.
Police say that the women also became aggressive when they were stopped from attempting to push the man in the wheelchair away.
The victim, a man in his 50s, suffered bruising to his face and arm injuries.
