BROOKVILLE, Kan. (KSNW) - A woman is facing multiple charges in connection with a deadly crash in Saline County.

Kayla Errebo, 32, is charged with the following: • Second-degree murder • Aggravated battery • Violation of duty of driver upon damaging an unattended vehicle or property • Reckless driving • Circumvention of ignition interlock device • Improper driving on a laned roadway

The Saline County Sheriff’s Office says that shortly after 5:30 a.m. Friday, Errebo’s Jeep Cherokee crashed into a pickup truck at Kansas Highway 140 and Reese Road. The passenger in the truck, Deanna Sommerfeld, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deputies say Errebo fled and was found about three hours later at a home in Ellsworth.
