INDIANA, USA — Indiana State Police are increasing safety on the roadways ahead of Labor Day holiday.

From Aug. 16 through Aug. 30 law enforcement across the state will increase patrols and safety checkpoints as part of the national Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign, led by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

“Our top priority is keeping our roads and our community safe,” Sergeant John Davis said. “The Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign is an awareness effort to get the message out that drunk driving is illegal and it kills.”

Davis urges everyone to help protect the community while putting an end to dangerous behavior.
