LOUISVILLE, KY (AZFamily) — Fans of KFC are getting some of their favorite items back on the menu.

The fast-food chicken chain announced on Monday that it’s bringing back the potato wedges and Hot & Spicy Wings, starting on Aug. 18 nationwide.

Officials said they surprised customers in Tampa, Florida, with wedges and said the fans were “elated,” selling out early in some restaurants.

The potato wedges debuted in the mid-1990s, earning a “cult status”, according to KFC, before they were discontinued in 2020.
