SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Saratoga Springs residents are being asked to voluntarily reduce outdoor watering due to high temperatures and increased demand on the water system. The recommended restrictions begin on Tuesday, Aug. 12.
People who live in odd-numbered houses can water lawns and landscaping on odd-numbered dates. Houses with an even number can water on even-numbered days. There should also be no watering or car washing between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. due to evaporation rates.
There are no restrictions for outdoor watering with hand-held devices for gardens, plants, trees, or shrubs.
