VIRGINIA CITY, Mont. – John Moore, Chief of Police for the Ennis Police Department, has resigned, according to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO).

Madison County Sheriff D.W. Hedges reported that negotiations are ongoing with the Town of Ennis regarding their law enforcement coverage agreement.

“Rest assured, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office will continue to provide uninterrupted law enforcement services to the Town of Ennis, as ensuring public safety is our top priority,” Sheriff Hedges stated.
