(FOX40.COM) —Last week, the Fairfield Police Department's Code Enforcement Unit cited six mobile food vendors for allegedly breaking county health and safety regulations, according to the Fairfield Police Department.
Three warnings were also issued by the team to vendors who did not comply with the rules and regulations, Fairfield police said.

The code enforcement unit monitors permits, county inspections and proper practices to avoid foodborne illnesses that could harm the community, Fairfield Police said.
Fairfield police said enforcing codes also protects local small businesses that invest in their establishment by following the rules.
