ANTIGO, Wis. (WSAW) - August 11 marks the anniversary of Kayla Berg’s disappearance. The then 15-year-old went missing in 2009.
Her family will celebrate Kayla’s 32nd birthday by the end of August. For Kayla’s mom, she hasn’t celebrated those special days with her daughter for 16 years.
Now, all Hope Berg wants is to have answers and finally take the next steps in the healing process.
“I love my daughter with all my heart and God. I miss her every day,” said Berg.
The day Kayla went missing, she was staying with friends before her brother’s friend picked her up.
“Kevin picked Kayla up that night and they were driving around and then Kayla wanted to go to Wausau,” Antigo Police Chief Dan Duley said. “Kevin said he had taken her to Wausau to an ex-boyfriend’s house where he dropped her
