HAYDEN, Idaho- Deputies with the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) responded to the 15000 block of N. Hamlet Trail off Triangle 7 Road for a reported unknown medical incident on Aug. 11, 2025 according to KCSO.

The reporting party informed dispatch that he found an injured male on his property and blood on his front porch. The injured male was found to have sustained traumatic injuries and was pronounced deceased on the scene.

Deputies, with the assistance of a K9, drone, SWAT team members and Coeur d’Alene Police Officers, searched the residence where the victim was found and the immediate area for any other victims and or possible suspects.

No other victims or suspects were found, and KCSO has taken over this active investigation. The victim remains unidentified
