Donald Trump has been savagely mocked after seemingly mistakenly announcing that he was off to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in Russia this Friday, when the meeting is actually set to take place in Alaska . ‌

The gaffe happened during a press conference held in the Oval Office , where Trump was discussing his promised crackdown on crime in Washington . ‌

"It's embarrassing for me to be up here. You know, I'm going to see Putin," he declared. "I'm going to Russia on Friday. I don't like being up here,
