UPDATE: 9:55 P.M. (WILX) - One person has been arrested and the area is now clear, police said on social media.

It’s still unclear what caused the heavy response.

BATH, Mich. (WILX) - A heavy police and first responder presence has been spotted in Bath Township, News 10 crews confirmed Monday evening.

Police cruisers from multiple agencies were seen at the intersection of Park Lake Road and Maple Lane just before 6 p.m.

Bath Township police said on social media they’re responding to an “active situation” but did not clarify what that meant.
