Fans have figured out that Taylor has been teasing the August 12 announcement since at least October 2024.

If you haven’t heard yet, Taylor is making a big announcement, seemingly about her 12th album, at the stroke of 12:12am ET on August 12. She launched a countdown clock on her website just three hours ahead of the announcement and she will seemingly talk about the news during a podcast appearance on boyfriend Travis Kelce ‘s New Heights podcast on August 13.
