KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KAKE) - A memorial service took place Monday at Children's Mercy Park in Kansas City to remember Sheriff's Deputy Elijah Ming, who died in the line of duty two weeks ago.

Ming died while responding to a domestic violence-related call at a home in Kansas City. Prosecutors charged 38-year-old Shawn Harris with capital murder in Ming's death, and plan to pursue the death penalty.
