KALISPELL, Mont. - A plane crashed while landing at a Montana airport on Monday, striking a parked aircraft and igniting a large fire, though no serious injuries were reported, authorities said.

The single-engine plane carrying four people was attempting to land at about 2 p.m. at the Kalispell City Airport, according to Kalispell Police Chief Jordan Venezio and the Federal Aviation Administration.

The Federal Aviation Administration said one plane on the ground was struck. That caused a fire that spread into a grassy area before it was extinguished, according to Venezio, who said several aircraft were involved.
