A young driver has been issued a driving suspension after being involved in a multi-vehicle crash in North Vancouver.

On Aug. 4 around 4:45 p.m., police got a call about a four-vehicle collision on the 3300 block of Dollarton Highway.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found one of the vehicles had been flipped onto its side. But the driver of a truck involved in the crash had left by the time police arrived, said Cpl. Mansoor Sahak, spokesperson for North Vancouver RCMP.

At the time, Dollarton Highway was closed to traffic in the area.

Shortly after, a passerby alerted one of the officers that he was flagged down by a man who said he needed a ride.

“The passerby suspected this person needing a ride may have been involved in the collision, so he brought him to the police,” Sahak
