VIDOR, Texas — Students at Vidor High School return to class Wednesday, but getting to and from campus could be tricky due to major work along Orange Street.
It’s all connected to a drainage project that was originally supposed to be complete before school started. The road remains closed right in front of the high school, but administrators say they have plans in place to ensure a smooth transition back.
“While it's going a little longer than we thought, it is starting to look better,” said Vidor ISD Director of Community Relations Bryan Brassard.
Brassard says the mess on Orange Street is part of a project designed to address flooding problems.
