STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The FDNY responded to the scene of a fire at a commercial building in New Dorp Monday night.
The blaze was reported at 9:40 p.m. on the second floor of 16 New Dorp Lane, according to an FDNY spokesperson.
Fire officials confirmed the address as the location of plumbing company Louis Buttermark & Sons Inc.
According to the FDNY spokesperson, twelve units comprising 60 firefighters and EMS personnel brought the fire under control by 10:10 p.m. No injuries were reported.
Firefighters were seen breaking out windows on the second floor and a garage door on the first floor to safely vent the building. The business appeared unoccupied during the FDNY response.
Fire marshals were on scene as the cause of the blaze is currently under investigation, the spokesperson said.
