SALT LAKE CITY — A man is facing several charges after his alleged involvement in a fatal Cache County car accident in December.

The crash took place on Dec. 15 near Lewiston, Cache County. It killed 39-year-old Heather Nicole Marshall and a 9-month-old baby.

According to a probable cause statement, 21-year-old Nathaniel Haudley-Resendiz was driving a 2014 GMC Terrain southbound on state Route 91 when he crossed over the center painted divider into the path of a Mazda 3. The vehicles collided, killing Marshall and a 9-month-old sitting on the rear passenger’s side of Haudley-Resendiz’s car.

Police said Haudley-Resendiz was speeding and under the influence of THC at the time. He was also driving without a valid driver’s license, which he had previously been cited for.
