Drivers heading into Edinburgh on Tuesday morning were met with huge queues, with restrictions in place on the A720 .

Traffic was building on the bypass from the early hours of the morning, with tailbacks seen at around 7.30am. Lanes were restricted eastbound between the Lothianburn and Straiton Junctions from around 7.14am.

Elsewhere on the bypass, two lanes were restricted eastbound between the Lasswade and Gilmerton Junctions. Towards the airport, two lanes were also restricted eastbound at Claylands.

Those using the park and ride facilities around the city were urged to arrive in plenty of time, with the Ingliston park and ride reaching full capacity by the afternoon on the first two Oasis dates.

Traffic Scotland advised 'planning your journey accordingly' for the Oasis gigs. T
