WASHINGTON, D.C. - President Trump said in a press conference Monday that his administration is "looking at" re-classifying marijuana.

Marijuana, or cannabis, is currently classified as a Schedule 1 drug under federal law. Schedule 1 drugs are considered to have the highest potential for abuse. The category also includes drugs like heroin and cocaine.

"Some people like [marijuana], some people hate it," Trump said. "We're looking at re-classification."
