Newington police are looking for your help. They say a group of people were riding recklessly on mopeds and unregistered bikes on the Berlin Turnpike over the weekend.

The swift traffic of the Berlin Turnpike is no surprise for drivers who travel it frequently. Being a major road between Hartford and Meriden, many cars pass through daily, but some drivers say they get nervous when they see a group of people on mopeds.

“Kind of scary when you’re driving and you see these people running around, strolling and getting in your way or behind you. Sometimes you’ve got to stop because you want to make sure their safety is okay,” Brenda Tirado, of New Britain, said.
