ST. LOUIS - Showers and storms never popped over St. Louis Monday, allowing for more sun and warmer temperatures. There is a better chance at scattered storms Tuesday afternoon, especially along and east of I-44 in MO and I-70 in Illinois.
Heavy downpours are expected where these storms fire. Temperature highs will range from the low 90s farther south and east to the mid- to upper 80s north and west, where a decaying cool front will have cleared the area.
