The investigation into a fatal Aug. 8 crash that killed a Bedford man continues.

William Brand, 41, died at the scene of the 2:40 p.m. head-on collision on North Ind. 45 in eastern Greene County. Brand was driving a 2010 Chrysler Town and Country minivan.

The other vehicle was a 2021 Ford F450 pickup driven by 49-year-old Michael Kieft of Bloomfield. He was taken to IU Health Bloomington Hospital after the crash for treatment of injuries.

An accident report from Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy Andrew Weeks said Brand was northbound on the two-lane highway when a head-on collision occurred with the pickup truck, which was traveling the opposite direction.

The initial report doesn’t indicate which vehicle crossed the center line.
