ST. LOUIS - A dog missing for over a year was reunited with its owner at Stray Rescue of St. Louis thanks to a microchip.
The dog was discovered wandering the property of St. Louis Auto Repair, and employees brought it into Stray Rescue of St. Louis to be scanned for a microchip, which revealed the owner's contact information. After calling the owner, he answered, overwhelmed with disbelief and joy, saying that the dog had been missing for one year and one month.
According to Stray Rescue of St. Louis, the man was on his way to work when he got the call and then had to reroute after hearing that they had found his dog.
"I'm on my way to work but…oh my God I can't even think about that right now. I'm on my way!" the man who answered reportedly said.
