The New Orleans Saints have signed three players after holding workouts on Tuesday.

The Saints have signed wide receiver Roderick Daniels, tight end Seth Green, and defensive tackle Jayden Peevy. To make room for the new signees, New Orleans waived wide receiver Chris Tyree and tight end Mason Pline with injury designations and placed Will Clapp on season-ending injured reserve.

Roderick Daniels was among four wideouts that the Saints tried out on Tuesday. At 5-foot-9, Jones isn’t the mold of a wide receiver that New Orleans was expected to sign. The Saints’ wide receiver room lacks a pass catcher taller than 6-foot-2, and after recent news of Bub Means’ injury, it was expected they would finally target a larger wideout who can be a middle-of-the-field threat.
