Frozen food giant Iceland is to pay customers to shop ‘scumbag’ shoplifters . Store bosses will put a £1 reward on the bonus card of every shopper who tips off staff about a shelf-raider. ‌

It is the latest move by Iceland’s executive chairman Richard Walker to try to combat Britain’s ‘out of control’ shoplifting epidemic with three thefts carried out every minute in the year to March. ‌
